In partnership with Bayview Home & School, and Bayview Community School, Musique Royale proudly presents Alan Syliboy and The Thundermakers, in a multidisciplinary concert of charging rhythms and great heights. Drumming, songs, spoken word and stories accompanied by multi-media art film and live performance are all included as artist Alan Syliboy brings his band The Thundermakers to Mahone Bay.

Alan Syliboy is an internationally renowned Mi’kmaw artist, filmmaker, musician and social justice advocate whose works have inspired renewed community pride in Mi’kmaw culture and heritage. A recipient of the 2002 Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, Mr. Syliboy shares his creativity to engage youth and advocate for environmental sustainability, nation-building and reconciliation.

The Thundermakers are Hubert Francis (Guitarist/Vocals), star of Brookes Diamond production, “Drum” from Elsipogtog First Nation, Evan Syliboy (Lead guitarist) formerly with Alan’s band Lonecloud, and bassist, composer, sound designer, video/sound editor, Lukas Pearse of Halifax NS, plus group leader, percussionist/spoken word artist Alan Syliboy.
