Musique Royale welcomes the mesmerising sounds of Helios Vocal Ensemble to be featured at our Cookie Concert on June 7. Helios Vocal Ensemble is Atlantic Canada’s premier vocal ensemble, performing sacred and secular music, specializing in Renaissance polyphony, a fluid and unifying musical language defining its time. Join us for our final Cookie Concert before summer break at the Lunenburg School of the Arts, on Saturday June 7 at 2pm, to hear beautiful a capella music, followed by a sweet treat! All ages are welcome, and kids are invited to sit in the front!

About the Artists

Helios Vocal Ensemble (Eszter Horvath, soprano, Elyse Delaney, mezzo, Andrew Pickett, alto, Michael van der Gaag, tenor, and Spencer Gough, bass) is Atlantic Canada’s leading classical vocal ensemble, performing music from the Renaissance and beyond. Founded in 2015, they have appeared regularly in the region’s chamber music series, including the Under The Spire Festival, Cecilia Concerts, Inner Space Concerts, the Three Churches Festival and Musique Royale, as well as the Concerts aux Îles du Bic in Québec. Their début recording, An Illuminated Christmas, was nominated for Classical CD of the Year by Music Nova Scotia.
