Part of the Wednesdays at Noon series, Musique Royale welcomes tenor C.D. Saint and pianist Hannah Parks to perform together on Wednesday July 22nd at 12 pm at St John’s Anglican Church in Lunenburg. The concert will feature a myriad of works by Berlioz, Hahn, Faure, Dowland and Monteverdi.
Wednesdays at Noon is a series of music presentations at St. John’s Anglican Church in Lunenburg. Concerts are roughly 45 minutes in length and are held every Wednesday at 12 pm through July and August. Performances feature artists from the local and national scene in an eclectic mix of presentations. These performances will draw residents and tourists to enjoy music within beautiful and historic setting of St John’s, the second-oldest Anglican church in Canada, and first church established in Lunenburg. Admission is $10 at the door, youth free. Programming supports the St John’s Music Program.
About the Artists
C.D. Saint
C.D. Saint grew up in Edmonton and completed his BA in Music and Canadian Studies at the University of Alberta and then followed that up with a post-graduate diploma in music pedagogy at the Kodàly Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary and a Certificate in Advanced Mediation in Austria. He spent a summer studying in the Opera as Theatre program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. After a decade on the West Coast, C.D. moved to the Yukon.
C.D. has performed as a chorister and soloist with a number of choirs, including musica intima, the Canadian Chamber Choir, Stellaria Voices, Vancouver Cantata Singers. He originated the role of Ronnie in Edward Top/Tom Cone’s chamber opera Love Thy Neighbour and has performed other roles in Handel’s Acis and Galatea, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Floyd’s Susannah, and Mozart’s Magic Flute. He was also featured in a Hungarian televised performance of Monteverdi works. C.D. has been a section lead and chorus member for several other operas and oratorios. C.D. is Artistic Director of Yukon Community Choirs, and a co-founder of Yukon Early Music.
