MUSIQUE ROYALE

Administrative Officer

Musique Royale seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual based in the Lunenburg region to join the organization as Administrative Officer. This position is part time, $20 per hour, for approximately 8-10 hours per week (based on our programming schedule).

Working closely with the Artistic & Administrative Director, the primary roles of the Administrative Officer are to oversee the box office and our volunteers for back of house at many of the south shore events, and help organize publicity and some administration on the south shore. The position may have additional tasks related with organization on the south shore (eg. connecting with music educators for outreach in schools, helping find hosts for artists).

The Administrative Officer helps us fulfill our mandate of highlighting early music and a broad range of high quality classical music, both on the south shore and across historic Nova Scotia, ensuring that future generations can enjoy great music in environments they understand. The Administrative Officer should have good computer skills and to be able to interact professionally with artists, volunteers, audiences and community members. We are open to applicants who are passionate about arts and culture in Lunenburg County or individuals in the early stages of a career in music or arts administration.

If you are a detailed and creative person that enjoys being an organized multi-tasker and is passionate about arts and culture, we want to hear from you!
